Insights to the Director
Paulo Garcia is currently the firm’s sole director. With more than 17 years legal experience - 10 years in the Philippines and almost 7 in New Zealand - Paulo is able to provide sound legal advice in all practice areas of the firm.
In the Philippines, most of Paulo’s experience was in commercial law - representing foreign and multinational investor companies and helping them establish operations. He focused strongly on government compliance and registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission, as well as the Philippine Economic Zone Authority and the Board of Investments for tax incentives. Paulo provided end to end representation for companies - from company registration, staff immigration, joint ventures, site selection, recruitment, employment contracting and human resource management to the management of all government compliance for securing maximum fiscal (tax) and non-fiscal incentives for his clients. Admitted to the practice under the High Court of New Zealand, Paulo has spent the past seven years advising and representing clients in their quest for New Zealand residence, focusing on investor migration. His first two years were spent as a member of Richard McLeod’s law firm - McLeod & Associates. The following two years Paulo has gradually returned to commercial law practice in his role as solicitor at Corban Revell Lawyers. From there, he expanded his practice to include business, property, family and POEA (Philippine Overseas Employment Administration) advisory services. A graduate of the University of the Philippines and an alumnus of the Academy of American and International Law in Dallas, Texas, and the COP of the University of Auckland, Paulo brings substantial knowledge and a wealth of international investments experience to the individual needs of his clients and client companies. Paulo’s treasure is his family. He is passionate about parenting, so much so that he holds the position of Chairman of Family Enrichment New Zealand - an affiliate of Family Education Australia, which falls under the umbrella of the International Federation for Family Development, a United Nations consultative body for the family based in Spain. |
