Angie Rodriguez-Burling Partner at Doug Cowan Barristers and Solicitors
Angie returned to Garcia Law in May 2019, having previously worked for Garcia Law in 2013.
Prior to rejoining Garcia Law, Angie spent almost four years working for Rainey Law, a boutique litigation practice specialising in commercial litigation, construction disputes, leaky building claims, and insolvency issues.
Angie graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of Auckland in May 2015. In addition, she also holds a Masters Degree in International Relations and Human Rights from the University of Auckland and a Bachelor of Arts Majoring in International Studies from De La Salle University in Manila.
During her studies, Angie was a member of the Auckland University Law School’s Equal Justice Project, where she had an opportunity to volunteer at the Waitakere Community Law Centre and has also completed an internship at Trustpower, a large electricity generation company, where she was involved in drafting resource consent application and submissions to the Environment Court.
Angie moved to New Zealand in July 2007 from her hometown in Paranaque City, Philippines. Angie is now married to Scott Burling and has a young daughter named Georgia. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her little family, relatives, and friends.
She values her relationships with people and likes to be a positive influence wherever she can.
