Immigration News: Changes to the Parent and, Sibling and Adult Children Categories10 May 2012
Under the Parent Category, the 'centre of gravity' rule has been removed making it easier for New Zealand Citizens and Permanent Residents with sufficient income to sponsor their parents to migrate here in New Zealand. The Sibling and Adult Children Category has been removed, subject to a pending Court action by affected applicants. The policy for children of New Zealand Citizens and Permanent Residents aged 18-20 has been relaxed.
